Welcome to Incredible Mongolian Naadam Festival

The Naadam Festival is celebrated each summer in Mongolia, originated many centuries ago as a test of courage, strength, daring, horsemanship, marksmanship, all necessary for Mongolian nomadic people and warriors. The largest celebration is held in Ulaanbaatar on July 11. However its origin is old traditional, at present it is a national holiday held 11-13th July each year commemorate the Mongol People’s Revolution.  The three manly sports make up the core program of the Festival. There are Wrestling, archery and horse race. Hundreds athletes, thousands horses in different age compete an accordance to regulation set by Mongolian National sports committee. Moreover small games such as anklebone shooting contest, different origin archery takes pace in small stadiums than central Stadium.  Naadam festival starts from inviting Mongolian State Banner from Governmental house, on the back of horses, held by soldieries wore traditional scenic uniform. At the stadium Mongolian presidential speech opens the colourful parade, spectacular legendary entertainment and sportsman greeting to audience are marvellous. Horse race held little outside of the city at the place so called Khui Doloon Khudag.

Itinerary:

09/07
Day1. Ulaanbaatar city tour

The Incredible Mongolian crew will meet you upon your arrival at Chinggis Khan international Airport to transfer to centrally located hotel. Then start city tour exploring Mongolian Buddhist religious center “Gandan” monastery where 27 meters tall standing golden “Janaraisag” Buddha and monks live chanting ceremony. Visit to “Sukhbaatar main square” where city zero point. For your historical brief knowledge we are offering you “Mongolian national history’ museum. Afternoon enjoy Mongolian traditional dish at restaurant. Afterwards drive to “Zaisan “Hill- WWII memorial monument which is nicest city observing hill Stay at hotel. (L)

Day2. Terelj National Park a day tour

Today will drive 70 km to reach Terelj National Park– one of Mongolian most exciting spot near the city. There can explore the extraordinary formation of rocks and stones, which is some of them looks quite similar with Turtle, person who reading book and others.
Terelj National Park is continuation part of Khentii Mountain Range, Mongolia. The forest consists from aspen, larch and birch, which supporting bear, deer, wolf, wild boar, eagle and others. Visit to beautiful temple “Aryabal” -the god of wisdom in the wild nature of National park. Free horse back riding will be organized during the trip. Return back to city. Stay overnight at hotel. Days 3-4. Naadam Festival

Today is the day of Opening festival. Experience the magnificent celebrations at the Mongolian Central Stadium – beginning with the mounted escort of Genghis Khaan's nine standards (banner) from the Mongolian Government House.  Enjoy the colourful parades and musical entertainment of the official opening ceremony, followed by an address by the President of Mongolia.  Watch as hundreds of wrestlers take to the field in the stadium centre for a two-day contest of skill and strength – testing the classic virtues of the ancient Mongol warrior – while archers compete for the title of best and sharpest shooters or anklebone shooters contest at the Main Stadium. Full a day in the field of Festival. Drive back to Restaurant for dinner.
Next day your team all will drive out of the city to Horse Race field. Spend day among the hill watching 4 years old horse race. Lunch will be on pick nick. Stay overnight at hotel. (B, L, D)

Day5. Khustai National Park

Your tour will head to Hustai Nuruu National Park in 95 km in the west.  At on the road visit to local nomadic family and explore their living style and hospitality. When come in tourist camp can visit Takhi museum and watch short documentary film. There is great opportunity to hike or photographing around the park. Then drive to the core area to see Przewalski wild horses. Stay in Mongolian traditional felt ger camp; enjoy the stars in blue sky, overnight. (B, L, D)

Day5. Return to Ulaanbaatar- free time.

Early morning depart to Ulaanbaatar. Accommodate at the hotel. After refreshing or relaxing at the hotel your private crew will meet again. Shopping is another fun, Mongolian nation approved style of souvenirs, leather goods, cashmere, and wool products are available for favorite purchasers. In the evening enjoy Mongolian traditional folk lore performance. (B, L, D)

Day7. End of the tour
For your international departure Incredible Mongolia has transfer to international airport or railway station from hotel. End of the Mongolian tour. (B)
