Notes: Thousand Camels Festival is held in February In Mongolia. The purpose of the festival is to preserve two humped Bacterian camel together stimulating winter tourism in Mongolia. Please welcome to unique festival of Bacterian Camels at the land of dinosaurs.

Itinerary:

Day1. Ulaanbaatar city tour

Today your Incredible Mongolian private crew picks up you from airport or railway station then will transfer to centrally located hotel in UB city, Mongolia.  Capital city tour with full sightseeing begins after accommodating at the hotel. Get introduced Mongolian Buddhist religious center “Gandan” monastery where 27 meters tall standing golden “Janaraisag” Buddha and monks live chanting ceremony then explore “Sukhbaatar main square” where city zero point. Enjoy “Zaisan “Hill- WWII memorial monument and it is most observing spot of whole city. Afterwards visit to “Mongolian National history museum” get introduced with rich legendary history of nomads. Stay at hotel (L)

Day2. South Gobi Desert- Thousand Camels Festival

Early in the morning fly to Dalanzadgad the center of Umnugobi province, Mongolia. It is Gobi Desert – a stunning landscape of mountains, rock and sand.  Spend the afternoon at the Camel Festival, being entertained by demonstrations of camel-polo and other events.  The day’s activities will end with a local children’s dance show.  Overnight in Mongolian traditional felt ger camp (B, L, D)

Day3. Camel Racing - Competition Day

The competition begins with the race of mature camels followed by the two-year-old camel race. The camels will be judged on their speed during the 15k and 12k races. The first three camels in the each group are awarded with gold, silver and bronze medals. 
Enjoy lunch and in the afternoon, one of the most awaited competitions begins. This is called “Camel Relay”, a competition consisted of catching, taming, training and finally loading a camel with an actual ger. There are several groups with 5 members, each of whom execute different roles. The closing ceremony takes place late in the afternoon when the winners will be presented with their trophies.  Return to the tourist camp.  Dinner and stay overnight in Mongolian tourist camp.

Day4. Bayanzag and Eagle valley

In the morning drive to Bayanzag- Flaming Cliffs, the famous discovery site of dinosaur eggs ever found in the world in 1920’s, by American scientist Roy Chapman Andrew’s expedition.  Mysterious Cliffs formed by soil and rock erosions through millions of years, is one of unique archeological sites where dinosaurs fossils were severally excavated like the ‘dinosaur cemetery’ in Mongolian Gobi. Today we got chance to climb or hike within this site which is one of the dinosaur found sites in Mongolia.
Then drive for 70 km to Eagle valley in Mongolian Gobi Gurval Saikhan national protected area. Yoliin Am is the valley sheltered by narrow and high spectacular Canyon and glacial stream path leads to permafrost ice layer which remains till the middle of summer. But today you will explore its winter image.
It is convenient place of hiking, photographing and observing wild life. Visit to local museum at the entrance of National Park of Great Gobi Protected Area. Stay in comfortable Ger camp. (B, L, D)

Day5. Fly to Ulaanbaatar

Early in the morning, you will be transferred to local airport to fly for 1.30 hour to Ulaanbaatar. Our company crew will pick up you in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to the hotel. After refreshing or relaxing at the hotel visit to free time in the city. We are recommending you shopping, national approved products cashmere, camel wool blanket, and leader or fur products. Visit to Natural history museum evening please enjoy Mongolian traditional meal at Mongolian Barbeque restaurant. Stay at the hotel. (B, L, D)

Day6. Departure
For your international departure we have private transfer back to international airport or railway station from hotel. End of the Mongolian tour. (B)
